I haven't been on the board for awhile and needed to know if Kodak fixed the jittery carts.

I think so, I bought a 2003 dated pack a few months ago, shot it and its fine
I bought another cart last weekend for the queens jubille and thats 2004 dated, I'll find out once i get it back
I definatly saw a post somewhere saying that the fresh 2004 dated packs were fixed.

only carts with a slippy smooth plastic surface, quite diferent to the old ones, can be considered as beeing "fixed". They cannot be determined by exp. date or emulsion number, as these dates only refer to the film and not to the cart.
The problem was, that the old carts, besides having some mechanical failures, did not provide the correct friction to the new batches of K40 film, that now is lubed in a diferent way. The solution was a cart made of a new plastic mixture, and you can feel it by touching the surface.

Go to this link and read the article. It's the only official comment I've seen from Kodak.
